A-1 Cleaning Service is hiring a full-time Hood Cleaning & Floor Care Technician for our Hood Cleaning, Floors and Carpet crew, serving restaurants, businesses and homes across Humboldt County.
What you’ll do:
- Clean commercial kitchen hoods, ducts and exhaust fans to NFPA 96 standards.
- Strip, wax, scrub and burnish hard floors.
- Clean carpets for homes and businesses.
- Protect each customer’s site, leave it cleaner than you found it, and complete job records.
Pay:
- Hood cleaning: $30.00–$32.25 per hour
- Floor and carpet care: $20.00–$21.50 per hour
- Plus customer tips; overtime as required by California law
Certification:
We pay for your certifications and your time taking them, and your pay goes up when you pass. Hood cleaning certification is due within 90 days of hire.

Schedule:
Hood work happens after restaurants close, so evenings and nights are required. Floor and carpet jobs run days and evenings.
Requirements:
- Valid California driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Able to climb ladders, work on rooftops and lift heavy equipment.
