Our Janitorial Lead or Supervisor leads the evening cleaning team, checks the quality of the work, and steps in to clean when needed. You will work evenings in commercial buildings from Fortuna to McKinleyville, train and support teammates, and be the first call when something changes. ABOUT YOU:
- You have a valid California driver’s license and your own vehicle you can use if the company car is not available.
- You are comfortable working evenings, often alone in a building, and locking up and closing it.
- You are comfortable training teammates and checking the quality of their work.
- You can handle call-outs and no-shows calmly, on short notice, and tell the right people right away.
- You can be trusted with keys and alarm codes.
- You are on your feet and lifting during the shift, and you can step in and clean a building yourself when needed.
- You are comfortable using a smartphone and phone apps to get your job done.
- You are punctual, responsible, and honest.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Lead the evening team and make sure each building is cleaned to our standard.
- Train new teammates and check the work of the team.
- Handle call-outs and no-shows by following our standing steps and keeping the supervisors informed.
- Drive between buildings during your shift.
- Clean buildings yourself when coverage is needed.
PAY AND BENEFITS:
- Hours: 30 or more hours per week, evenings.
- Wages range from $21.25/hour to $24.00/hour.
- Drive time between buildings during your shift is paid. The trip from home to your first building and back home is not paid, unless you are returning to the office for office work.
- A company car is provided on the evening shift. When the car is not available, mileage is paid from your odometer.
